I purchase auction lots of government radios and equipment, this was from a WA City lot. I performed a user function test and all seemed to function as expected. The
radios functions work but are UNTESTED.
The HT turns on has volume, when adjusting the squelch you hear static the yellow light lit up and on transmit the red light lit up (I put an antenna on for this). The top switches function normally with good rubber, the
antenna mount is straight no cracks, not bent, the battery connection is straight not bent. It has a Numeric keypad, screen isn't cracked and went into program mode.
The channel selector rotates from 1 to 14, it has a TA (Talk Around), SCN (Scan) and a
PRI
(Priority Ch.) switches, t
he Group function has 1 group giving you a total of 14 channels. And is field programable for on the fly operations. It
h
as the original gray Lexan case with BK model and serial numbers.
The physical condition is very good, little signs of wear from field use, Dept. markings, sticker residue etc, no signs of being
abused, drowned or dropped, see pics.
The item comes with the radio body, an antenna,
a new clamshell battery ()

sorry
no manual or program chip, again it is
used unable to professionally test will be sold as is.
Use this as a VHF radio for 2 way communications on the fire line,
camping or in
an emergency. I have sold several to wildland firefighters who want to be in the know on and off duty. Lookup your local fire departments frequencies on the internet to hear what's going on in real time. Easy to use, also can be used as a scanner to hear the 2021 fire season traffic, 14 channels of of pure bliss
.
Clamshells are for the fireline, save money and get
rechargeable
batteries for the home and road, then when your on scene switch to your clamshell, at for 9 AA batteries it makes sense
.
Thank you for your time.
